In Netflix’s upcoming thriller “Heart of Stone,” Gal Gadot will play the role of an international spy. Acting was not a career path that Gadot had envisioned for herself before participating in Miss Israel. In a 2017 interview with Willie Geist on Sunday Today, she revealed that the opportunity to act came her way, and she grew more curious about it, eventually falling in love with the profession. However, Gadot faced significant rejection in Hollywood and even considered returning to law school to support her family. Her military training as a combat fitness instructor during her two-year mandatory national service in the Israel Defense Forces helped her perform her own stunts in action-packed roles, particularly in the DC Extended Universe. Gadot shares three daughters with her husband Jaron Varsano and will star in “Heart of Stone” alongside Jamie Dornan. The film was shot before the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes that have currently halted Hollywood’s operations. According to Gadot, the goal of the film was to create something raw and dynamic, moving away from another Wonder Woman film. The action sequences are grounded, and when characters get hit, the viewers can feel their pain.
