Shakira’s Proud Moment: Bringing Milan Onstage at the World Cup Final in a Dazzling Red Outfit

Shakira made a comeback after performing at the opening ceremony of the World Cup. The Colombian singer delivered an energetic rendition of her song “La La La (Brazil 2014)” with Brazilian musician Carlinhos Brown at the Maracana Stadium for the final between Germany and Argentina.

Dressed in a revealing red sequined costume with feather tasseled skirt, Shakira captivated the stadium before bringing her little boy Milan onto the stage.

A star-studded group including Carlos Santana, Wyclef Jean, Shakira and her son, Alexandere Pires, Ivete Sangalo and Carlinhos Brown will grace the stage on Sunday before the Germany versus Argentina match.

The singer’s little one wore a green and white striped top and joined his mother after she went out into the audience to collect him from his father Spain defender Gerard Pique.
The 37-year-old met Pique when promoting her 2010 World Cup anthem Waka Waka – Time for Africa.
Speaking ahead of the World Cup closing ceremony concert on Sunday, she said she ‘will never forget that I met the love of my life at the World Cup.’

Previously discussing her relationship to football, she said: “I have an intricate relationship with football for obvious reasons, and I truly understand what the World Cup means to so many people, myself included.”

For the Final, Shakira brought in the help of Zumba creator Beto, who joined her at rehearsals at Maracanã stadium in Rio de Janeiro to choreograph her performance.

The Colombian duo first worked together in Bogotá in the mid-1990s on Shakira’s breakthrough album Pies Descalzos.

In the stands, David sat with former Brazilian internationals Kaka and Pele and stopped to take photos with fans before the match. Also performing were Carlos Santana, Wyclef Jean, Alexandre Pires, Ivete Sangalo, and Carlinhos Brown.
