2K Sports announced the highest ratings of NBA 2K24 on Wednesday, followed by revealing the first rating of Victor Wembanyama, the No. 1 pick. The teaser image of Wembanyama wearing San Antonio Spurs’ black and white jerseys was the first to be released of the incoming rookie class before the global launch of the game on Sept. 8. Marketing director Ronnie 2K presented Wembanyama’s first rating, which is the highest ever for a rookie entering the NBA. He seemed content with the rating, which tops the previous high given to Zion Williamson in NBA 2K20. Wembanyama proved his skills in the NBA Summer League, recording 27 points and 12 rebounds in his second game with the Spurs. He is expected to be one of the most-used players in NBA 2K24 because of his exceptional performance, which many liken to videogame statistics.
